Experience:
We've been in Ecommerce since we sold our first 4 copies of our product WebEdit in April 1995 and built a site in four languages for an SEC approved direct public stock offering valid in 43 states. Since then we've sold software in 78 countries, Legoland tickets, t-shirts, concert tickets and shuttle rides.
Starting as an ISP in February 1994, we've been picking the right technology and applying it to the needs of our clients. When we focused primarily on web development, we retained customers for years: originating it in 1995 and operating the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau (www.sandiego.org) for ten years; originating and operating for 4 years San Diego's public radio station web site (www.kpbs.org); originating and operating for two years the first Legoland California site - winning Best of All Large Theme Parks Worldwide in 1999; revising and operating the Del Mar Fairgrounds web site for four years (www.sdfair.com).
Depth:
And we're not just another HTML house that can write a few web scripts. We build applications. We have our own trademarked development tool, WebEdit Pro, and we've developed systems for tranlsating print ads to the Intnernet and managing online shopping. We developed our own search engine technology for presenting the Web in San Diego.
Market Savvy:
2003 was our first year supported mostly by advertising, although we continued to do large projects for our clients. Last year, we sold over $2M in hotel and beach rental reservations and launched our public email service with spam and virus scrubbing. This year marks the release of our third generation of ad serving software, the Top Level Online Ad System. We use it on our own primary site, www.sandiego.com, and we're now deploying it on other web sites all over the country.
Return:
We've done a lot for a small company without major investment backing.
